International Yoga Day Celebration
NSS unit of Smt. Chandrabhaga Tukoba Naik Higher Secondary School, Curchorem, Goa, celebrated 3rd International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2017, in the school auditorium. The Principal Shri. Vaman Bhadri welcomed the Yoga Guru, Mr. Navnath B. Sawant by offering a flower. The programme started with chanting. Then, the renowned Yoga guru spoke on the benefits of Yoga. Students of standard eleventh took active part in the programme where they were made aware of the relevance of the Yoga in daily life. Later students performed different asanas like Vrikshasana, Uttaanaasana, Trikonaasana, Bhadrasana, Shashankasana, Bhujangasana and Pawana Muktaasana under the guidance of the Yoga guru. These asanas were taught to bring about holistic approach to health and well being among the students. Finally, the programme ended with Pranayama and meditation. Mr. Mafales Fernandes, Faculty of this Higher Secondary proposed the vote of thanks.
